President Finance
Mr. John O'Hara
joined Rail World, Inc. in August 2005.
In his current position as Vice
President of Finance and Accounting,
John is responsible for the overall
efficiency and quality of the accounting
department. His main goal is to deliver
timely and accurate financial reporting
for each of Rail World, Inc's affiliate
companies.
Mr.
O'Hara has over 10 years of accounting and railroad
experience. John began his railroad career at Wisconsin Central
Ltd. as an Accounts Receivable Analyst in 1995. He was quickly
promoted into positions as Senior Accounting Analyst, Property
Accounting Manager and Senior Tax Accountant. While at Wisconsin
Central, John enjoyed an array of responsibilities including working
on various system implementations, preparation of financial
statements, maintenance of capital budgets, tax return preparations,
miscellaneous billing and cash collections.
Mr.
O'Hara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the
University of Illinois in 1991. John successfully passed the
February 1993 Certified Public Accountant exam. He earned a Masters
of Business degree from Roosevelt University in 2003. He is
currently seeking a second masters degree in the field of finance.
