Vice
President Information Technology
Mr. Erick
Van joined Rail World, Inc. in November 2002
as Vice President Information Technology. He
is responsible for the overall design,
management and maintenance of the network
and communications infrastructure for Rail
World and its domestic and international affiliates.
Mr. Van has
over twelve years experience in both the
Transportation and IT industry,
having started his career as an accountant in 1995. Prior to joining RWI,
Mr. Van worked in the IT department for the
Wisconsin Central from 1997-2002,
successively as a Network Technician and
Network Engineer.
While at the Wisconsin Central he was
responsible for the maintenance of eighteen
remote networks located in Illinois,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Canada.
He also engineered and maintained the
Wisconsin Central's Lotus Domino / Notes
infrastructure, and played an integral part
in the successful merger with the Canadian
National Railway.
Aside from his
IT duties, Mr. Van is also the Manager of
Revenue Accounting for the San Luis Central
Railroad and holds a B.A. Degree with
Honors from DePaul University in
Communication and Political Science.
